Event Information

The Nebraska All State Show Choir will highlight 48 singer/dancers, selected by audition, from across the state. Eligible students are currently in 9-12th grades. Students interested in auditioning must first be nominated by their director. Schools can nominate up to 10 students, 5 males and 5 females from any grade, and 2 senior instrumentalists for our All State Show Choir band. Nominations will be taken from February 1 through February 15. Nominated students will receive, via their director, all audition materials on February 20th. Auditions will be video submissions and must be uploaded by 9 pm on March 15th. Students will be asked to submit two separate video files. One of them singing The Star Spangled Banner a cappella, and the other of the dance audition cut from instructional materials sent out on February 20th. Only students nominated before February 15 will be able to submit an audition. Selection will be done by a panel of professionals, with notification of selection happening on April 1st and rehearsal materials being sent to directors at that time. Students will work with Vocal Director Lin Warren and Choreographer Ben Schrank from July 8 through July 10, with the final performance occurring in the evening on July 10.

Nomination of instrumentalists, if you want to nominate band members, will be done at the same time as singers. More information on selection of those players will be communicated with their director(s) specifically. Instrumentalists will only be on campus on July 10.
